Our Commitment

At Pawganix, we believe everyone deserves access to quality pet wellness products and information. We are committed to ensuring that our website, pawganix.com, is accessible to people with disabilities and compliant with applicable accessibility standards.

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). What We're Doing

Pawganix takes the following steps to ensure accessibility:

  • Semantic HTML structure — our pages use proper headings, landmarks, and ARIA labels so screen readers can navigate content logically
  • Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (menus, accordions, forms, product selectors, checkout) are accessible via keyboard without requiring a mouse
  • Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Alternative text — product images, lifestyle photos, and informational graphics include descriptive alt text for screen readers
  • Form labels — all form fields (checkout, contact, quiz, subscription management, ambassador application) include visible labels and clear error messages
  • Resizable text — content remains readable and functional when text is enlarged up to 200% in the browser
  • Focus indicators — visible focus outlines on all interactive elements for keyboard users
  • Video and media — any video content includes captions or transcripts
  • Third-party tools — we work with our technology partners (Shopify, loyalty platform, review platform, subscription manager) to ensure their embedded widgets meet accessibility standards. Where third-party tools fall short, we provide alternative ways to access the same functionality.

Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is not a one-time project — it's an ongoing practice. We regularly review our website for accessibility issues, test with assistive technologies, and train our team on accessibility best practices. When we add new features, pages, or products, accessibility is part of the development process from the start.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas of our site may not yet fully meet every guideline. We are actively working to identify and resolve these gaps. In particular:

  • Some third-party embedded content (review widgets, loyalty program widgets) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control. We are in ongoing communication with these providers about improvements.
  • Older PDF documents (such as Certificates of Analysis) may not be fully screen-reader compatible. Contact us and we will provide the information in an accessible format.
